Description and goals
The PG&E Look Forward Bus travels within California and Nevada to State Fairs, Schools, Museums, Libraries and Press events to educate the kids and families on alternative energy sources, PG&E alternative energy services and how people can make a difference in there energy consumption and its effects on their carbon footprint.

Development process and challenges
PG&E was very interested in making sure the bus was educational and not seen as an advertisement for PG&E. First we reviewed the current PG&E programs and services and working with an established budget created a bubble diagram of the educational objectives. The educational objectives were over laid to the bus layout. This provided to be a challenge, we had planned for branching information, but the linear visiting flow forced linear content.

Lessons learned, mistakes we made (and what we did about them)
PG&E has been very pleased with the redesign and has received positive feedback from visitors. Because of the linear flow only about 12 people can be in the bus at a time, the dwell time has been longer than expected. In the future we would recommend continuing the experience outside the bus, for greater thMWED was hired to redesign bus exhibits, including the design of the interactive Energy Efficiency Area.
