  • What I do, where I work

  • I work at the American Museum of Natural History in NYC. I am Director of Education and Policy and currently I am focusing on four aspects of informal-formal intersections: 1) evaluation of the educational impact of exhibitions;2)research on teacher education in Museums; 3) museum-school-university partnerships in the US and abroad, and 4) assessment of science ed. policies that have impact on the work of informal institutions and the lives of undeserved communities.

  • More about me

  • I think this website is an excellent venue to think with others around specific exhibits. It is a form of free-choice expression and response to exhibits and writers that is rare and much needed. I welcome opportunities to dialogue with others about the challenges of assessing educational impact of exhibitions and on successful experiences with addressing the cultural, linguistic, and intellectual interests of underserved communities.
