What I do, where I work
I’ve just started a new position as the Director of Planning and Design at the National Aquarium and I’m getting my sea legs. We have lots of interesting projects on the board including a renovation of the original exhibits in our iconic building.
My recent projects at the Monterey Bay Aquarium include Hot Pink Flamingos: Stories of Hope in a Changing Sea, an exhibit about the impact of climate change on the oceans, Ocean’s Edge, the renovation of the aquarium’s original Monterey Bay exhibits, and Splash Zone, an interactive aquarium exhibit for families.
Current position

More about me
I’m particularly interested in museum experiences that foster people’s connection with the natural world through inspiration, engagement and connection. And I’m a bit obsessed with the idea of offering visitors meaningful ways to take action on behalf of what they care about – the ocean, the land, social justice, global warming, family. I am also really interested in learning more about how to foster and nourish creative work environments and teams.
