What I do, where I work
I have a specialized consulting practice helping museums and cultural organizations engage existing and potential audiences by developing compelling experiences and utilizing new media to cultivate the next generation of enthusiastic patrons. I also serve on the Board of the Ohio Museums Association, currently as Treasurer, and teach a course in Exhibition Development and Design at Walsh University.
For ten years I served museums on staff as a curator, exhibits director, educator, and project manager. Then in 2006, I started my private consulting practice, Illumine Creative Solutions. My experience on-staff at different museums gives me an insider’s understanding of what it means to be both mission-driven and budget-conscious, while my current role as consultant offers clients an external perspective free from institutional bias.
Current position
Principal at Illumine Creative Solutions
Adjunct Professor at Museum Studies Program, Walsh University
Earlier positions
Director of Exhibits at Cleveland Museum of Natural History
Director of Exhibits at The Children's Museum of Cleveland
Curator at William McKinley Presidential Library and Museum

More about me
Consultant, adjunct prof, museoblogger, mom, culture freak, foodie, football fan & ski bum. I teach at Walsh University and help museums better engage audiences. In addition to my professional work, I spend lots of time chasing around after my two young daughters, visiting parks, museums, and places of interest with our family and watching their inquisitive minds soak up the world around them.
