  • What I do, where I work

  • I was an exhibit designer for over 20 years. Then one day I got the brilliant idea I wanted to own a pizza shop. So I gave up my career to start my own business. I bought a pizza shop in Lock Haven, Pa. in 2001. I bought a building in 2003 and expanded to a bar/restaurant called “Checker’s Restaurant & Lounge” and haven’t stop working my butt off since.

Prior to this I worked at Marketechs Inc. in York,Pa., Associated Custom Exhibits in Pittsburgh, and Southern Display in Houston, Tx.

Positions

  • Director of Design at Southern Display Inc

  • Sales/Design at Marketechs

  • More about me

  • I am looking to return to the Exhibit Industry. I had a lot of fun and I miss it.
I have a lot of experience to offer. I have worked in various areas of the exhibit industry. Sales, Exhibit design, production of construction & set up drawings, working in the graphic department assisting in various areas to complete projects, and supervision of set-up and dismantling of displays at the trade shows. I worked with a lot of companies in the oil industry. My biggest client not oil related was Compaq Computer Corp.I completed various displays involving trade shows, product introductions, special events & corporate location designs. My work appeared in various issues of Exhibitor & Exhibit Builder magazines. I designed my exhibits in a program called Archicad and rendered them in Artlantis. I still use this program to do free lance work.
I thought this might be a good place to network with other designers or companies that might have a position open in some area. I am going to post some of my work in the near future.

Send me an e-mail since I am stuck here in my restaurant working 118 hrs a week.
My theme song is “Man in the Box” by “Alice in Chains”
