Talk-back Boards: What works?

  • The Museum of Flight would like to install a couple of talk-back boards in the new space exhibit we are developing. The boards would allow visitors to share their thoughts on whether they think space exploration is worth the risk and expense, and whether they think exploration is best done by robots, humans or both.

Our museum has honestly never done a talk-back board, and I’d love any advice on what has worked for others.

We’re thinking of starting low-tech. If we do, is it better to go with a cork board, cards and push-pin approach, or board and post-its? Magnet board?

How often should we expect to refresh the board?
