An Olympic achievement

  • When I returned from a recent overseas trip, it was while the 2012 Olympics were still in full swing.

While I was waiting for my luggage, I spotted this display that showed the amount that an Olympic weightlifter lifts in terms of suitcases. In this case, 187 kg is apparently equivalent to lifting 6 × 32kg (70lb) suitcases.

I’m not sure who lifted the 187kg weight – it doesn’t look like a world record – and I’m afraid I was too tired after crossing 14 time zones to remember to check!
