I really like the “oil” stickers on the glass. I wonder if, over time, the exhibit can/will be updated to show what happens in the Gulf ecosystem—both with interpretive media and with what’s inside the tank. In interactive exhibit about our energy choices would be very a very interesting way to stimulate thoughts (and gather data from visitors responses) about how people relate energy consumption, alternatives, and policies to this incident specifically and energy development costs/benefits in general, and to personal actions and responsibilities.

Great idea, Jane — the exhibit that’s updated in response to changes in the thing it’s interpreting.
In terms of interactive exhibits about energy choices — the Scripts Aquarium in San Diego has an exhibition on Climate Change that looks both educational and thought-provoking. I’ve been meaning to get down there to check it out.
