Turning The Pages

  • Touch any book you want, and make any paper document available to the public in a robust form appropriate for unfacilitated exploration. That is the promise of this fabulous technology pioneered by the British Museum and now being used in the UK, Ireland and the USA. Users get the sense that they are turning the pages of a book on a touch-screen display. Audio can be added to create narration and layer information. Simple gestures allow users to zoom in on the text. The technology can be viewed on-line as well.
